Welcome to Lagos! Whether you’re arriving by air, rail, or road, getting to our doorstep is the first step of your Algarve adventure. Below you’ll find the best ways to reach us.
✈️ Arriving by Air
Faro Airport (FAO) is our closest international hub, located approximately 90km (55 miles) away.
- Private Transfer: The most seamless option. We can recommend local drivers who will meet you at arrivals and drop you directly at our entrance. Journey time: approx. 1 hour.
- Car Rental: A great choice for exploring the Western Algarve. Take the A22 (Infante Highway) west toward Lagos. Please note that the A22 uses electronic tolls (check with your rental agency about a "Via Verde" transponder).
- Aerobus (Route 56): A direct bus service from Faro Airport to Lagos Bus Station (Seasonal).
🚆 Arriving by Train or Bus
Lagos is the final stop on the line, making it very easy to find!
- Train: The Lagos Train Station is located across the footbridge from the Marina. From there, it is a 10–15 minute walk or a quick 5-minute Uber/Taxi to the historical center.
- Bus (Rede Expressos): If arriving from Lisbon, the bus is often faster and more direct than the train. The Terminal Rodoviário is located centrally, just a short stroll from our rentals.
🚗 Driving & Parking in the Old Town
If you are driving, please keep in mind that the Historical Center of Lagos is a maze of narrow, one-way streets with restricted access.
- Unloading: You can usually drive close to the property to drop off luggage, but long-term street parking inside the walls is limited to residents.

📍 The Final Stretch
Once you arrive in the center, Lagos is best explored on foot. Our rentals are tucked away in the heart of the town, surrounded by local cafes and historic landmarks.
Pro-Tip: Download the Google Maps "Offline Map" for Lagos before you arrive. Our narrow streets can sometimes make GPS signal a bit "creative!"
